EDUCATION BEYOND BORDERSSOFIA, 15 - 17 OCTOBER 2010In the last few years the young people`s interest in foreign education has increased, but unfortunately the information about it is not enough and most of the cases it is false and incorrect. Students have difficulties choosing the best programs, educational institutions and countries for their future education and this makes them feel insecure and afraid of not making the right choice. That is why we decided to put into practice our idea of the initiative "Education Beyond Borders" so that we can give the Bulgarian students more opportunities for continuing their education abroad. The initiative "Education Beyond Borders" is an educational forum for institutions and organizations in the field of the secondary and higher education of a worldwide importance. „Education Beyond Borders” is the first event of its kind in Southeastern Europe which brings together the largest universities from all around the world. This makes it extremely useful and interesting for thousands of visitors of different ages and interests. There were representatives from Europe, USA, Canada, Russia and India on the first ever conducted educational exhibition in Bulgaria. The forum began with an opening, which was attended by Mrs. Kastreva - Inspectorate Director of the Regional Education in Sofia. The representatives from the Embassies of Portugal and the Netherlands also held their speeches. There were also representatives from the Embassies of Hungary, India, Ukraine, Denmark and others. Representatives from many universities from Great Britain, Germany, France, Finland, Netherlands, Denmark, Portugal, Moldova, Hungary, Lithuania, Switzerland, Cyprus, USA, Canada, Russia presented their undergraduate and master programs to more than 15 000 visitors from all over the country, including Bulgarian high-school students, university students, their parents and teachers. The initiator and organizer of the exhibition is Bery Group - Bulgaria. The company was founded with the primary objective of developing various educational services in Bulgaria. It has various activities and one of them is the preparation, the organization and the conducting of the international exhibition „Education Beyond Borders”. For three days Sofia and the National Palace of Culture (NPC) became the center of GLOBAL EDUCATION! The National Palace of Culture is a multifunctional complex with modern premises. it is a mixture of modern architecture and dynamic pieces of art. This place is famous for its spiritualized and magnificent spaces, its numerous works of monumental paintings, sculptures, woodcarvings, tapestries, metalworking and other such pieces of art ... The National Palace of Culture contains more iron than the Eiffel Tower. It is the center of the capital's cultural life and it is very important for the prestige of congress and conference business as well as the political and social life. In this sense it is unique. The NPC is a model, which at first sight seems eclectic, but it is profoundly democratic. The halls and the lobbies are presented with pieces of art which in most of the cases serve as an insporation for the visitors. Here you can meet great artists as well as prominent congressmen, politicians and businessmen. There are excellent conditions for conducting prestigious events and activities which are organized according to ithe international standards. Therefore, the NPC is a place where you can find the best exhibitions and forums which are a part of the Bulgrian Summit. The NPC is the natural attraction center for the Sofia citizens and guests of the capital. 
The National Palace of Culture was awarded the Apex Award for 2005 AIPC. The Board of Directors of the International Association of Congress Palaces (AIPC) is pleased to announce that the winner of the 2005 Apex Award of AIPC for "The Best Congress Center in the World" is the Bulgarian Congress Center in Sofia - the National Palace of Culture.
The NPC is well prepared with excellent technical equipment for hosting events of different natures: congresses, conferences, concerts, film screenings, exhibitions and fairs.
